      You can earn up to 14-16 PDUs and 14-16 SEUs by attending the PSM-A 2-day training program.

      The Professional Scrum Master™ Advanced (PSM-A) certification, offered by Scrum.org, validates your advanced understanding of Scrum principles and practices and the complex role of the Scrum Master in real-world situations.

      PSM-A certification is exclusively provided by Scrum.org.

      While PSM I certification is not a strict prerequisite for PSM-A, it's strongly recommended. PSM I provides the foundational knowledge necessary to tackle the more advanced concepts covered in PSM-A.

      SEUs (Scrum Education Units) and PDUs (Professional Development Units) are typically earned through formal training or courses. Completing Simpliaxis's PSM-A certification training may make you eligible for 16 SEUs/PDUs.

      The PSM-A exam consists of 30 questions (multiple-choice, multiple-answer, and true/false), some of which offer partial credit. You have 90 minutes to complete the exam and need a score of 85% or higher to pass. Each attempt costs $250 USD.

      The cost of PSM-A training varies depending on the location. Below is a general range of costs you can expect for PSM-A training in different regions. The fee typically includes the certification exam, which is $250 USD for each attempt.

The Scrum Alliance expects you to earn certain SEUs to renew your certification every two years. The Project Management Institute offers PDUs on many certifications except CAPM certification and expects you to have a specific number of PDUs to renew your certification every three years.

      A Professional Scrum Master (PSM-A) is one who has advanced knowledge of Scrum and its application to solve complex issues in an enterprise setup. The certified professional has more than working knowledge of Scrum principles and practices and helps Scrum Teams to deliver true value successfully to customers.

      The Project Management Institute issues the Professional Development Units (PDUs) and the Scrum Alliance issues the Scrum Educational Units (SEUs) to the candidate after the completion of any certification course. They are given to recognize the participation of the professional and to authenticate the knowledge of the principles and practices of Scrum. To hold your certification from the Scrum Alliance, you should earn a particular SEUs every two years.

      The reattempt can be taken at no additional cost if the first attempt has taken within 14 days of receiving the password from Scrum.org and not secured a minimum of 85% marks.

      The PSM-A exam format consists of multiple-choice with multiple answers and true/false options. The exam is online and is available only in the English language. The time limit is 90 minutes within which you need to appear for 30 questions.

      There is no expiration date to attend the exam but Scrum.org will send you the password to attend the PSM-A exam after completion of training that can be used only for one attempt.

      The PSM-A certificate from Scrum.org is valid for a lifetime and no renewal is required.

      Candidates need to finish the two-day Professional Scrum Master (PSM-A) course. Appear for the exam after successful completion of the course. You need to get a minimum of 85% to get awarded the Professional Scrum Master (PSM-A) certificate from Scrum.org.
