The SAFe Advanced Scrum Master certification exam is a comprehensive test designed to evaluate your skills and knowledge for the role, which is conducted in English. The exam is based on what you learned during the SAFe® Advanced Scrum Master Certification Trainingthat you attended before taking the exam.
Exam Pattern
The SASM exam lasts 2 hours (120 minutes). During this period, you are required to answer 60 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), designed to test your understanding and application of the course material.
Exam Fee
The exam fee for the first attempt is included in the course fee. If you take the exam within 30 days of completing the SASM course, you don't need to pay anything extra.
Exam Procedure
Once you have completed the course and are ready to take the exam, you just have to log in to the SAFe community platform with the login credentials provided by Scaled Agile Inc. Once you have completed the SASM training, you will receive a welcome email from Scaled Agile Inc. containing the login details. The SASM exam is a closed-book web-based exam without outside assistance.
Result
When you submit the exam, your score will be calculated immediately, and the result will be provided. You must complete the exam in one go.
Scoring Criteria
To obtain your SAFe Advanced Scrum Master (SASM) certification, you need to score a minimum of 73% marks in the SASM exam. This means you have to answer at least 44 questions out of 60 correctly to qualify for the SASM certification.

Certification Delivery
Once you pass the exam with the required marks, you will receive your SASM certification within 5-7 working days.
Retake Policy
If you are not able to score the required percentage on the first attempt, do not be discouraged. You can retake the exam. The second attempt can be made immediately after the first one. However, the third attempt requires a 10-day wait and a fourth attempt will require a further 30-day wait.
Retake Fee
Please remember that any subsequent retake attempt at the SASM exam after the first attempt will cost you USD 50.
