To attend this DevOps Foundation training and  DevOps Foundation certification, there are no formal mandatory prerequisites, but having a basic understanding of IT concepts and terminology can be somewhat helpful, including: 

• Networking: Understanding the basics of networking to understand modern IT infrastructures 
• Web development: Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript 
• Linux: A solid foundation in Linux, including command-line usage, file management, permissions, and package managers 
• Programming: Experience with Java or other high-level languages and scripting 
• Software delivery: Familiarity with general concepts in software delivery, such as version control, code repository, and deployment 
• IT service delivery: Awareness of the need for improved IT service delivery speed and quality 

To earn the DevOps Foundation certification, you must also complete at least 16 contact hours of a formal PeopleCert-approved training course with training providers such as Simpliaxis.
