A-CSPO Certification Prerequisites

1. To be eligible for the A-CSPO certification, the applicant must hold a valid CSPO certification obtained through the Scrum Alliance. This Foundational certification demonstrates knowledge of scrum principles, roles, artifacts, and events.
2. Candidates must possess at least one year of practical experience specific to the Product Owner rolewithin the past five years. This experience should showcase the ability to:

• Manage a product backlog
• Prioritize user stories and features
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Manage stakeholder interests

A-CSPO  Training Course to obtain certification:

• The A-CSPO certification requires attending an approved A-CSPO training program from any registered education provider. Scrum Alliance-approved REPs typically offer these two-day intensive courses.
• While attending the A-CSPO Certification Training is mandatory, no separate exam is associated with certification. Completing the course curriculum and meeting the experience requirement will qualify applicants to register for the A-CSPO certification exam.  

Note: Once you have received your Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certificate, there is no specific time frame for taking the A-CSPO course. You can take it at any time after receiving your CSPO certification. However, you must demonstrate at least twelve months of experience as a Product Owner in your Scrum Alliance profile.
