Frequently Asked Questions on CAPM® Certification and Training

The CAPM exam does not have any specific percentage. PMI uses its own set of rules to determine pass or fail.

Once the application fee is paid, you have one year to pass the CAPM certification. You can make three attempts in that year.

The CAPM certificate is helpful for individuals who want to enter the project management field. The certification will provide them with the necessary skills and knowledge of the basics.

The certification holders must earn (PDUs) professional development units to maintain their certification.

Yes, CAPM certification requires renewal after every three years. Professionals must pay a renewal fee ($60 for PMI members, $150 for non-members) and 15 PDUs professional development units every three years.

The duration of the exam is over three hours.

There are 150 MCQ questions.

One must earn the required PDUs to meet the Continuing Certification Requirement criteria.

To be eligible for the CAPM exam, participants must hold a secondary degree, such as a high school diploma, GED, or an global equivalent. Additionally, they need to complete at least 23 hours of project management education before taking the exam. The PMI on-demand CAPM Exam Prep Course will satisfy this education requirement.
